It has often been said that Koei the same thing over and over again does, and that they need something new. Here Koei trying something completely new: instead of the one-man army of the Musou series, you play a mercenary, the commander on the scale of the war in a tactical action game. Bladestorm received some bad press, but I think that was the reason "Koei" that people saw and believed "Dynasty Warriors". While there are concrete actions, this game is really one's own and an excellent addition to any action andStrategy fan – gives it a chance, take it not as "Musou knockoff" and you will be pleasantly surprised.
As the title suggests, Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War pulls loose from history. Though some liberties were taken, and felt nothing amiss. The only problem was the fact that you as players control a "nameless mercenary" and often you will be directly related to the victories that you credited to participate: Instead, you will get a short blip on the historical process, andthat minor feeling of lack of effect is really the only thing I have this game for the debt. However, the game is a good job to show that, while you can an intelligent and powerful person that you are still only one in an army.
Story: 6.0/10
Having observed improve graphics of the side from the Nintendo Entertainment System to the Playstation 2, I knew that things get better, but I had no idea how much better. Even without playing on a Hi-def-capable screen Ifelt my jaw drop to the amazing quality. Action is smooth and I have never seen a second downturn, even with heavy fighting with literally hundreds of soldiers from cavalry archers seen. I have heard that Xbox owners say that the game slows down sometimes, but I've never seen it slow even on the PS3 – otherwise I would say that the expenses are fairly identical. The only complaint I have is that text can be read to small and heavy.
Graphics: 8.7/10
With all of theundeserved negative reception that this game was, I was leaning to enjoy it. Despite my initial expectations, blade storm proved that his own hold, and the sound works great with the graphics, create an atmosphere that really feel you like you are in the middle of a Middle-Age war, complete with blade ringing against shield and arrows whizzing through the air. If you are not satisfied with the quality, you can change independently, the volume of votes,Sound effects and background music. Voice acting, while nothing that will make you jump up from your chair is satisfactory sound.
Sound: 8.8/10
I was afraid that the guests would include bad techno / pop-rock like other Koei titles, but to my pleasant surprise, Jamie Christopherson composed a wonderful soundtrack harkening to the romance of the music, conveying the massive scale and the emotional intensity of a war tearing apart two Nations. The only disappointment was that some of theMusic seemed relatively soft – I liked it so much I had exhausted the volume constantly. Even if you're not a fan of Romantic Period are music, you should find it appropriate, and you have the option of muting it alone while other tones to your preferences.
Music: 9.6/10
My lack of experience of Koei games was probably a help here, since my only other sample was Warriors Orochi, I felt free to have his own game Bladestorm. Instead of a man who plows through aArmy, you play a mercenary, the commander of the British or French troops charge (depending on which contract you take at the moment). Aggressive selling is effective against attacking troops – and know when to withdraw if spotting squads against selling strong – are the key to victory, and the rock-paper-scissors awarded a solid action game a unique flavor of the strategy, which could I only compare something to Fire Emblem. The only thing I did not like was the "randomly generated"Nature of some progression and acquisition meant it could take a while until the next story mission appears, or the last fragment of the Aegis Shield is in your hands.
Gameplay: 8.5/10
Randomly generated orders allow you to essentially play at your own pace from the start and the end of the story missions, but there is no "New Game Plus" there's really no reason to start a new game, instead of just loading see a closed one, with the exception of the in-game cinematicsor at the end again with the opposite side. Still, you get on to play over the end of history.
Replay Value: 4 / 10
I almost did not buy this game, but now that I enjoy it I'm glad I did. The attacks tactical squad-based action, the ability, then sprinkle friendly troops, and the feeling of satisfaction when your men stop the duel of the enemy Base Commander and the subsequent seizure of an entire walled city are things I never seen in another game have. As solid as thisGame is and how beautiful the music, the inability to write things like cinematics (most of which are not made well with the game engine), playing alternate characters (you're stuck, like the mercenaries), and the absence of a significant post-confirmation battle for my role in the game (most of the discussion between nobles who are true to the period), easily forgiven.
Overall: 8.6/10

Overview: Another great game from KOEI. You are fighting a mercenary in the Hundred Years War, you can choose either to fight for the English or French (each with their own story plots). Along the way, you meet fellow mercenaries and historical figures such as Jeanne d'Arc. The combat system is fantastic, its like a complex rock-paper-scisors, beat several other classes. You control groups of soldiers of the 5-30 soldiers and lead them against the enemy. They have many classes of soldierslike sword, sword + shield, spear rider, two-handed ax, ninjas, wizards, and so on. You collect all classes level of experience by. If you are good enough in this game you can quite simply the action takes place in about 35 hours. After that remains is to complete the challenge / high difficulty level maps. Not much fun to play even after 45 hours or so. You can get 90 hours or so by finishing both sides, English and French.
Pros:-lead units, not onlySolo hack and slash
Leveling classes of soldiers
-Sympathetic characters, pretty good action
Epic fight, epic maps, great soundtrack
Pretty good-cutscenes
-99.99% Interference
A pretty diverse amount of armor and weapons
Cons:-Not much to beat after you do the game
Maps are too large, and some classes are super slow (as assistant), and sometimes gets angry
-When you hit 99, it is much tooslightly
Targets are almost always the same (capture, defend, defend Capture +)
Pretty inaccurate and historically
No. 1080 HD resolution, and sometimes is hard to read text on small TVs
Total: 10/10, fantastic game
Graphics: 8 / 10, No. 1080, small texts, though beautiful cards
Sound: 10/10, epic soundtrack, easy reptitive if you continue as it
Game: 10/10, great battle system
Plot: 9 / 10, likeable characters, pretty good action, good cutscenes, you get a great sense of fulfillment of the ending cutscene
Price 10.08, a little overpriced for this game
Replay / length: 10.09, 90 hours is good enough, but almost no replay value
Originality: 10/10, great idea, leading units of soldiers
Multiplayer: 0 / 10 (N / A), none
Difficulty: 5 / 10, most players should have no problem with that (there is no easy / medium / hard setting) have
Learning Curve: 10.03, if you can view the tutorialThey are pretty good for the rest of the game
fun for a while, repetive later. – Flight_173 – MI
