Ok, I think, I get to the counter point to be here. Before going into how much I love this game, let me address the other reviews.
One critic said he had equipped problems running the game on a Vista comp. Surprise Surprise Now! IMO Vista is not, has never and will never be a gamer friendly OS not to mention (it is so flawed, it was probably designed by an entomologist). The other reviewer says that the game was too heavy. "Unbeatable" was the term he used. Nothing could be furtheraway from truth. To be fair, I've never played first Blitzkrieg I can not address the complaint he had with the control scheme changes.
I play this game for about three months now, and I love it. I have the XP (SP3) OS runs perfectly on my system and the game. I've beaten the Russian campaign, and am about half way through the American campaign. I'll tell you straight up, this game is hard to beat but hardly. How many RTS, have most scenarios, a trick to themthat, once you figure it out, victory is assured.
The detail is awesome. Just about every AFV that is being fought in the great fight here and modeled beautifuly (there are some notable omissions, like the French Char B and the Soviet KV1, but that's just niggling). Each vehicle is for the arms to each side and four rated it caried for the pistol caliber, speed and amount of ammunition (for both main gun and machine gun). Place a Sherman against a Panther head toHead dies, Sherman. Sherman catch the panther from behind but dead Kitty.
As in many games of this type is pretty useless infantry in the open. Get them into buildings, but they are absolutely lethal for tanks. They are also handy for recording and enemy flak. Nothing that I have more than grabbing a few 88S and sending love a number of Krupp grenades right back where they came from.
Aircraft are treated one way abstract. You do not have any realcontrol to say beyond it, where they are on the card you want them to go. You fly there, then do whatever they do on their own, then leave. Bombers are great. Just click on a specific area of the map back then and watch them destroy everything in the area. Fighters are pretty much fire and forget weapons. Once called, it will automatically find fly on the map Engaging no enemy aircraft it. I was a little disapointed with the fighter duels, however. Although many different fighter types aremodeled air battles almost always draws at the end, no matter what type of aircraft used in every page. Either destroy both sides of each other or it will be a plane on each page, then fly off the left. Unrealistic to be sure. Ground attack aircraft are to use Blast. These things simply vaporize enemy tank columns, and fortifications. In fact, in a Russian scenario, I have nothing but the IL2 Sturmovik ledgendary (finest GA aircraft of the war to wipe out) almost every German unit in theCard! I then think tanks rolled into the target village with no votes. Scenario about. Sweet.
Another cool feature the game (which I understand was not the first game), the ability to assign individual officers is to units (light tanks, infantry, etc.). The more action the units commanded a certain officer to see, the more experience he gets. If he gets enough points, he is transported. This opens up for his special skills units such as the ability to entrench fasteraccurate fire, fire, etc. This movement is a cool RPG element to create the game.
Each campaign in Blitzkrieg 2 is a series of smaller scenarios and made a "penultimate" scenario, the beaten, the game must advance. The smaller battles can be played in any order, recommend even though the game, in which order they should be played is. This is important, as each new battle amplification types that are likely to need in the next battle opened, and isDefinitely be needed in the Big One at the end. The key word here is reinforcements. These are basically like the "resources" that you collect in other RTS games. Every fight you win is a set number of reinforcements for the fight with and they should be hoarded like gold. But many reinforcements you have transferred at the end of a scenario on the left to the next. The idea here is to go into the final battle with as many reinforcements as possible. The more you have, the easier it will be to win.
Overall, this is one of the best games I've played in recent years. The only real complaint I have is that there is no playable campaigns for either the British or the Japanese.
If you would like RTS games in general, like WW2 games in particular and are incompatible with Windows Vista: p, I would wholeheartedly recommend picking this up.
Blitzkrieg 2 offers you many hours of exciting and challenging gameplay for the upcoming months!

they could not leave well enough alone – J. De lange – sunnyslope AZ. USA
, I'm really disapointed by this game … also on the easy setting is set, after 3-5 = scenarios, it is impossible to beat … it has much promise. If they had sole control of one game left … I just can not describe how terrible I feel for this franchise. I love the first game. This leaves the world to be desired … Just it sucks
Too many tech issues – WW2 fan – Colorado
This is a great game with great detail. But be careful before you buy it. There are a lot of tech issues especially when trying to play the game on newer Vista 64 bit computer. Many complaints about problems with the installation as well. Read to throw all the complaints about the tech support site, before risking your money away and make the purchase. It can not work on your computer.
