* EDIT *

Okay, I got it to work with an offline profile now. It was my stupid mistake to realize I did not need to scroll down to the account creation screen to create a local profile. Now the game works well and is as big as I thought. Runs very smoothly so far, and the graphics are amazing. Much better than what you are on the Xbox 360 version. I've already played on the Xbox 360, so I already know the story will be of 5-star, and this game is worthMoney, when to leave your PC running. If not, I definitely recommend it to either Xbox 360 or PS3. Especially "The Ballad of Tony Gay," the tons of stuff to have the game that was not there before. Like's parachute, helicopter, new weapons, etc.

I'm still gives it a 4 / 5 for now, until I can get to get it to work online. I'm still allow in the gap, if not it will give me back my profile until I put the update of the game and the game will not be updated for any reason. And Rockstar is notseem to have the patch for manual download. It is found on their website, but if you click to download you get an error, so I believe that I am not lucky to be repaired soon.

But, the game is definitely worth it!

* * ORIGINAL REVIEW

My title just about says it all. I got this game today, installed it, entered my serial number, but if I have to make a profile, where I go running into a problem. I tried to live my profile again, as I havehave one, and as account recovery, a window pops up that the rest breaks down and tells me there is an update of the "I'll install to play for a living. So I click on update and it shows the screen updating, but ten seconds later, she goes with an error message "Update can not be downloaded. So, after I close that anything I can do, try to recover my profile, and it is an endless loop of the game telling me I the update before I can restore my account.

Fine, would I likeplay this game on my account, but I will not give up and try to create a new account. This brings the same problem. You have to make a new account by [...], and then it must recover in the game. While the restoration is done the same thing, and it asks for an update. I can not say, but it will not let me return to my profile. My other option is to create an offline profile, but I can not even find that option. Not to mention I want a game I pay to play online instead of offline.
So I visit several sites in search of an update. RGSC I downloaded and tried the first thought, it could be the problem to install, but if you install it says I have an unsupported operating system I do not understand at all being that I have with Windows 7 So I remember that and try to download some other updates. None of the "normal" GTA IV updates are working so I figure it is not one of those I need. Then I found out, there is an update "1.1.1.0" for episodes of Liberty City. The ONLYPlace I can find it on Rockstar, and when I try to download it I get an error message.

So, basically I'm stuck in a kind of loophole, and I can not even play my game. Well, I can play, but only if I choose not to my game, that would be pointless to save. And perhaps I overlooked something simple, but there are no serious where in the manual where it says offline profile. It gives me two options to click, and the first requests I automatically open a browser window to create aProfile on [...], and the other is close something like "window" or whatever. So, there is no "Offline profile" option, which I see.

Hopefully I can find a way to download the update, and soon enough to get my game working. And then I'll hopefully be able to restore my profile without any problems. I'm not sure if I'm the only one with this problem, but I can not seem to find anything about them online.

I will note that, regardless of this problem I have also played "The Lost andThe Damned "and" The Ballad of Tony Gay $[...], 'worth on my Xbox 360, and both were very funny. In any case, if they get this problem solved … and it could only be a problem I am with. I have played GTA IV on my PC, and it was very funny. I have no doubt, these enhancements will be much better on PC than they were on the Xbox 360, I have found really only one way to keep them working conditions.

Great game, deeply flawed PC port – Christopher E. Howard –
If the game works, it is fun and offers around 30 hours GTA chaos. However, due to install the ridiculous process and buggy version, I would recommend the PS3 or x360 version.

The game retains all of his ancestors, there would GTA4, especially in the elderly, but supported hardware: Random audio dropouts, hard crashes and sudden framerate problems are expected. On my hardware, it can sometimes take three or four hard restart + start game cycles to come to the gamein a playable condition. Sometimes the game works for hours on end, but more often than not, it is interference in an unplayable condition (with either frame rate or loss of sound) every few hours or does it not before the first loading screen.

In addition, this game has one of the hated installation routines of any PC game on the market:
1st Installation of DVD (40 minutes)
2nd Complete Release Date Activation
3rd Full serial number activation
4thGFW Create an account, if necessary
5th Create Rockstar Social Club account, if necessary
6th Make sure disc 1 of the game is in the drive so do their SecuROM authentication
7th Play game log, and install necessary updates GFW (30 min)
8th You can last the game after about an hour to install tasks when the game decides to start of work on this
NOTE: If you have installed the original GTA4, EFLC installed as a standalone product yet. The original game GTA4not necessary to install or play.

It should be noted that the GFW and Social Club accounts are designed to prevent resale game, so used copies (without accounts) can not save scores or access social club features. SecuROM is used for physical DRM.

Great game. – Wes L – Ohio
If you like GTA 4, then you will love this game. The story for both big and everyone has a good atmosphere. The graphics options have been improved on GTA4, and it runs pretty smoothly on my i7, 6 GB RAM, ATI 4870 1GB. The character animations are first class and so if the voice acting. I wish people would stop, game 1 star reviews, because it has Games for Windows Live or on their SecuROM. At least play the damn game before you give it 1 star. All these people are games 1 Starnot even they themselves, more than half the time. I really think this game deserves 5 stars though.

Warning: Contains SecuROM – R. Wiedlin –
Just opened the package, put in the installation CD and got a pretty nice surprise: Rockstar and Take 2 Interactive to give worthy of us, on our computers SecuROM. I have not yet played the game, and am deeply impressed by the fact that Amazon does not inform buyers of the DRM bloatware scattered in GTA: EFLC disturbed. I have yet to decide whether I keep the product defected with this intrusive DRM.

Even those who have played GTA4 on the PC will already be informed, butEFLC also requires you have a Windows Live account, 4 as well as in GTA I am only surprised that Rockstar punish paying customers to continue.
