I love the idea of the Zboard, but for someone who played many games I would competative the Merc Stealth sugjest Hat, as I have or the Z-MERC witch My friends all have now that they used mine. There are a few problems with them still the best, but I have found for Gamming

The Zboard Base has an auto recognition feature for any keyset you insert. Just switch keysets & play your favorite games.
It comes with:

  • USB Hub with 2 USB connectors that supports low voltage devices (up to 100mA) such as mice, joystick or memory sticks.
  • 9 Hot Keys allow you to instantly return to a pre- selected destination, such as a file, folder, program or web page.
  • 7 one-touch Multimedia Control buttons: play/pause, stop, next/previous track, volume up/down and mute.
  • Additional LED indicators; it has additional 3 LEDs to indicate Zboard enhanced functionality (Pad Lock, Bar Lock and Enable).

    The Gaming keyset was designed for First/Third Person Shooter and Action games. It provides a better gaming experience, advanced layout and built-in technological advantages.

  • Most commonly used game commands are labeled right on the keys to help you start playing new games faster.
  • Up to 7 simultaneous key-strokes – Jump, move forward, lean left, change weapon and shoot at the same time!!
  • Large “butterfly” keys are enlarged and sloped to help keep fingers comfortable through hours of gaming.
  • Unique domed action keys give gamers the responsive feel.
  • Pre-defined key layouts from the list of game titles supported by your Gaming Keyset or create your own key layouts using the Z Engine software which allows you to easily drag and drop to remap all keys.
  • The Standard Keyset is based on the traditional 108-key layout for regular everyday use.

    Pros:

    Anti-Ghosting
    -Keysets
    -All the buttons are labeled
    -Useful Windows / Explorer key
    Bargain compared to other

    Cons:

    Keyboard feels cheap
    -Bent the pins while trying in a new key set (the default keyset laid fits better than the keyset fps)
    Non-backlit
    Software is not the best, have much better Razer and Logitech

    Eventhough this will be a gaming keyboard, I do not have the feeling that a lot of game in them.Keys are stiff, and they are full-size keys instead of the bottom profile, the ones that you see on Razer keyboards. When I bought this, I did not know that Steel Series made the Zboard, but once I've played with the post office and it was like any other product … Steel series for a cheap consumer product, look for the gaming equipment. Having had experience with Steel Series before, I would not recommend their products.

    This is a great design for a gaming keyboard, but the drivers are terrible. When you buy with any Windows or Linux system, not the keyboard. The drivers are so horrible that you end up with a very expensive standard keyboard without the promised play features. In addition to the lousy driver, provides the company SteelSeries [...] has now that this product is lousy to non-existent support. I am ashamed of this product for Amazon still sells on its website. A Class ActionApplication site is all you should see if you are looking for this item. Please do not waste your money than I did on that.
