I bought this for my son who is 7.5. He is a great time with her. I gave it 4 stars instead of five since it first as a little frustrating for him on the. After I went through it a few times and showed him what the game he wanted, he took it to fit.
He had a very rudimentary understanding of chess before the game. He plays a computer version, but not really understand how each piece moves.
This game has accompanied him through the steps, bit by bit. Itlearn how the piece moves and then give scenarios to play with this piece. He is playing for days and really learn how to play.

Those must be some smart 6-year olds! – bonitachica – West Virginia
My husband and I bought me a chess game, and trying to learn how not to play it was just a regular set really work out. I saw this game on Goldbox and thought it would be a good way to learn such a complex game. At first I thought it was really good. There are good descriptions of what each piece and a few exercises to practice with every piece. The problem and the reason for such a low valuation is moved in the tutorial set-up for some end-game. I have a tutorial and plugthere was no way to give up, so no way through the rest of the game progress. I tried for hours to get through this phase. I think for a game in which 6 to targeted, there should a "give-up" or "hint" option if you do not get ahead.

I'm glad I spent the cash. I love the tutorials and easy to learn at once plus a quiz on the rules it's much better to someone who will play the learning at the age of 28 years! Okay, maybe this game a little young, but it is not too hard to absorb learning session. Learn Chess in fact I'm better than trying to learn to focus online, as I am, and since I was 15. I wish they would come with learning Go.
