First of all I would say I have not start any earlier versions of Madden played on the DS. I hear this is identical with 08, so you might want to save your money if you know that now to the post:
This game for me is almost perfect for a handheld version of Madden. It is packed with gameplay options, from mini-camp in franchise mode (not a whole season so I played'm not sure how low season) for DS exclusive games with the stylus. There are a toncrowded into the cartridge.
Gameplay is actually pretty cool as well. I can swear that I see similar cutscenes Madden 2001 for the PC (which I think is an insanely fun game), I think it is a similar engine. Sometimes you are a passport to a recipient who throw just missed by a mile, but it seems like the QBs with better accuracy assessment actually miss less time, and typically you will not miss when you throw the pass to the right time in the receiver's route, QBPressure seems to actually mean something in this game (that's less than I for almost all the other Madden I'm saying). Running is quite good. Against bad defenses, will open up the middle, draw on plays, but try to have against the Steelers and you will be much less lucky … The only negative point I have seen on offense so far is that the strong I-formation, throwing quick play is literally difficult to defend, no matter what difficulty. I had the choice of a playbook means thatnot about the game, and this seems to have made a difference.
Defense is really hard, especially on a pro-attitude. If you do not fall do 4 defensive backs in deep coverage, it's almost a sure bet that the QB throw deep and you click Connect, but it is honestly one of the first games I played Madden, where I am not a sure bet have to # 1 in defense budget every year by several hundred meters.
Graphics have never been so important to me, but I think these are just sufficient,Fine. Anyway, if you have a DS and want something realistic football experience on the go, do yourself a favor and take this. I recently she played a ton on a long journey, and I'm still very happy with it.

I have played Madden for the PC, PS3 and Wii, and all are great games to enjoy a significant learning curve to the fullest, but once I get the hang of, these are among the most fun games I've played.
But I was doubtful of Madden on a portable device because the screen is too small to hold all the details on Madden, and after the game on the DS, my doubts were proven correct.
On the positive side, I was with all the technical aspects of the game impressed.Visually, EA could have done no better with the realism of the game, and as always I love hearing the announcers talk. The game is loaded with features.
But the size of the screen is just too much to overcome. In Madden, you need to see the entire field, and that is simply impossible with the DS. Like the other versions of Madden, the key cards are shown, select the recipient and plays, etc, but the cards are so small you'd need a magnifying glass to read them. EA tries to limitComplexity of the play-lists, but that was not the main problem – that is, the screen just too small.
So far, only a good football game I know of for the DS Tecmo Bowl, which do not suffer not from the same problems as Madden. The game itself is much simpler, and the field from above with less realistic, but showed clearer visuals. So if you have a football-fix on your commute to work or during lunch break is Tecmo would the game I suggest.
THE POOREST MADDEN GAME EVER – Christian – Mississippi
When I first saw this game for Christmas, I thought it was great. But I was wrong! Especially when the ball is hiked, you are supposed to beat players hear pads. Instead, feels like you're in Iraq with a guy next to you with a machine gun. Secondly, the graphics are terrible. Third, it is almost impossible to score a field goal. The REC Center is fun, though. If she was not there, I would definitely have to rate this game one star.
