A veteran of the original version of NHL EHM mainstream and tried the demo of the game, I knew what I had expected when I bought this game almost a year ago from some site that I forgot the name. When I got the game, I like a little school girl was dizzy, the excited just received their first kiss. I immediately opened the package and installed the game. After hours of searching the game in all its majesty and the new features of the year, I got to my work of the administrationHometown team (the Pittsburgh Penguins) to Stanley Cup glory …

For those of you who do not know what is STM or want to read just a little, uh, a text-based management sim from Sports Interactive is developed (the makers of Football Manager. Some of you may know it as Championship Manager). For those of you who have not been paying attention, this is a text-based management sim. So do not go buying this game, if you want to pull triple-back-around dekes with Jaromir Jagr, or want to see howMarkus Naslund looks good in a hockey uniform. If this is to stop your view of a hockey game or hate long reviews, read this review you will be boring … very bored. This game is for players who enjoy the franchise aspect of EA or Sega NHL franchise modes, but do a much better deal, mode. If you're one of those people, read on …

For those of you who read yet, EHM all the bells and whistles you expect from a franchise has mode. You canTrade players, sign free agents, control player movement to / from the minors and young draft prospects that you feel good in the future. When you think of STM, just think of this … and tons of other options and finishes, you absolute power. In the NHL EHM, you will start a few days before training camp, that you load up outlook and other free agents in the camp can tryout for positions. You are entitled to players from the waiver wire round your minor-freeends in a team. You can take a look at the upcoming draft class with ISS Scouting rankings. They can for the players that you see envy of other teams, the GM of the team wants to ask. You can "glorified depth chart" a look at one of your co-coach a team called the report noted. Your coach can tell you your weaknesses too large … and this is only for the job as GM.

You can also serve as head coach and by working not only lines andChange goalkeeper. Some of these include but not limited to: edit practice schedules and mentalities, hire staff (of head coaches to coach), Edit team tactics play best for your team to warn players for bad or missing practice, coach of the games in person over 2-D snapshots and even fire your coach, if push comes to shove. Of course you could just let the AI do it for you.

And I have not even mentioned that the NHL is not the only playable league. Almost everyplayable league under the sun is at your disposal. Of play as the NHLers of the future in the WHL, OHL and QMJHL as an elite player in Europe in the DEL, Elitserien, SM-Liiga, Russian and Czech Extraliga Super League play. You can even as GM of the minor league team (the AHL, ECHL, AAL 3 and AAL-4) to play.

With all this, one might think that you have hours of play. This statement is true, but it could be more hoursGameplay, if not for this flaw. First of all. You can not start with a different scenario. You are starting with the opening of the 2005-06 season (which is not so bad when you think about it) plug. There is an option to play with "fake players" but they just change the names of players in the league (it is obvious who is Mark Henderson, when # 66 is for the Pittsburgh Penguins and plays like a kind of demigod, who injured a lot).

Another negative iswith the rain (rain, players were after the first crop of young players in the NHL moved to develop. See it first appear in 2008 or 2009) that pop up later in the game. The draft is an unpredictable time when players like Luc Robitaille and Brett Hull drop to the later rounds because of the doubts of pro scouts. But in STM, the design is highly predictable, with the top superstars go early with a pinch of solid players in the 2nd and 3 and the 4th RoundRounds and be pretty useless. Sure, you will receive occasional late-round steal and a top ten pick bust here and there, but it does not happen as it does in real life. Granted, it's much better than last year, but STM has some work to do to get it perfect. The development of the rain too fast. The average age of the head stimulate development is 18-20, as I have seen in the game. Sure, I'd like a couple of Jason Bonsignore and Sidney Crosby's see as much as the next statistics freak, but if10-15 players conscripts have the attributes of an all-star players spoil it for the moment. Let me give you an indication of editorial … not draft players at a rate of less than 10 You can not the NHL game because they are too slow.

Another negative that popped up is that the NHL a mess when it comes to player management. The AI is stupid in the management of players because of salary cap. Do not be surprised to see good talent like John Madden and Paul Martin, at the end nExemption only under the CAP will receive. Top NHL talent like Ilya Kovalchuk, Phil Kessel (known as David Dwyer in the game because of collegiate licensing) and Patrick Marleau are free agents are limited and spend their entire career rot in a European Hockey League (especially in Sweden, Russia, or Germany) , ie the European leagues as an NHL seem himself. The AI is not the most intelligent coach with. The AI does not seem all about line chemistry, know practice regimesor tactical cunning, as it randomly generates a variety of lines and tactics in every game. This pretty much forces you to coach the games themselves, and if you're like me (not the coach, like the games), you will be aware of the fact that you lose a lot of games bummed by clumsy AI.

Come to expect in this game with mind blowing sound and music, as this game has to start a little music and sound. The sounds in the in-game is probably generic storage clipsAverage song for face offs. But considering that the original STM had no sound start, this is a big step forward. Make sure your iPod or radio is loaded with music, because it is the gaming experience will improve anyway.

Pro: 1 A STAT freak's heaven.

2. So many options that you absolute power management (I probably forgot a few things as well) are!

3. More leagues (AHL, ECHL and DEL) has become a powerhouse stableLeagues.

4. Manage your team on a day to day basis!

5. Improved Scouting gives you a better view of potential draftees and opponents.

Cons: 1 Starting with the same scenario can kill every time replay.

2. GM and Coach Al is out of balance.

3. Rain are predicted to develop too quickly.

4. A game with fake players "is a farce (the only difference between fake and real are the names).

5. Musicnon-existent and sound is not to win the Oscar for best Dound impact.

Final Verdict: Start the rain and annoying AI aside, this is a very solid game with the potential to be even better for the 2007 version (in early September, I think). Just be warned, this is not for everyone. When the form is built for this game, prepare your life have sucked out your soul and a slave goes with this game.

If you are unsure whether to buy this game, you goand visit the Sports Interactive website (I do not think I can set up the field so that only the Google developers) and after one or two questions in the forums (Reply to actually hear, in contrast to EA, the developers of the game and inquiries) or download the six months in the game demo. If I do not answer everything about this game, these things will easily give you a better assessment of the game.

There I'm done. Was not "fun"?

Very addictive – Spendsters – Pennsylvania
This was the first hockey simulation game I've ever played, and let me say – WOW! I played nothing else for almost 2 months while I was at the Stanley Cup and financial success with my beloved Detroit Red Wings in EHM 2005 continued. The player here is incredible, and the micro-management tools are very useful. The controls are intuitive. This is a fun game, no matter how you slice it, and with the sub-par product out there for NHL games on the PC, this game is easily the best(Prior to the latest version came out anyway).

Total = Excellent
