Most racing simulator reviews sound eerily similar, supercharged gameplay "or" feel the crunch of metal! " and before I bought it, thats what I also read. Race Driver 2006 for the PSP is, hands down, in a race with the SIM-BEST today on the handheld. This may be due to the fact the ONLY SIM racer on the system. Ridge Racer Burnout and make you a lot of fun to drive, but does that RD06 step further. The only problem is the fact that I have already played thisgame … on the Xbox. There is a direct, scene by scene and race by race port of DTM Race Driver 2nd Which is both great, because this is such an overlooked Sim Racing in the shadow of the Gran Turismo. On the other hand, I wanted something a little higher. New tracks etc, and a new game mode in this gap to fill. This game looks stunning as all have the TOCA series.
My only real complaint is the controller. Super simplified as they are, the cars tend much more than sliding on theXBox version. which can be very frustrating at Laguna Seca. Precision controls on a handheld gaming system are standard almost impossible, but this game is really worth the trouble. I gave it a 4 for fun, not because it did not deserve a 5, but because I get frustrated by controls very easily. and a total of 4, because, as I said, we all have seen.

Referring to TOCA. This game plays well and looks very good on the PSP. I like the different modes of play and the many cars and tracks you unlock as you win races and outdated. A note on price: I picked this game up last week at GameStop new for $ 19.95.

A great game if you search for an all-round racing. Tons of different cars with different handling characteristics, which can be optimized. If you want to NASCAR races, you have it. Rally Racing? Got that too. Many different titles. The campaign is challedging game, but not too frustrating. This game challedges under a variety of racing skills you need to have. If you want to cover only a racing game on a variety of different racing genres, that's it.
