Other than some minor quibbles, this is a great single player game. It has the usual error for a game in this action-shooter genre:

1. some levels are more fun than others. You want to maintain the dark cave to do more than once per level, for example. Other levels are awesome though.

2. Some bosses are simply boring, during your first game to kill by. They are given low-power weapons. It takes no skill just time. On replays can beef up on guns, agreat, but the first piece by the bosses were great to see, but difficult to kill.

3. The goal is not precise enough. This is probably partly intentional on the game designers' part, but the game gives you a little gun ammunition, a lazy target cross hair can angrily in a firefight. You can speed up the target crosshair as a game option but to help it does. If there's one thing about the game, that brings it up to 4 stars, the the thing. Not a Game Breaker iscertainly annoying.

Meet Two Fierce, Playable Main Characters
Back from the original title and Resident Evil: Code Veronica, former S.T.A.R.S. special forces team member Redfield is a battle-tested, founding member of the BSAA. With a reputation for superior marksmanship and phenomenal hand-to-hand combat abilities, he’s on the ground and up against a new strain of evil.

You’ll call his shots from the same over-the-shoulder third person viewpoint that distinguished Resident Evil 4, except this time you’ll also have the option of playing as his teammate, the fierce, local Alomar. Whoever you play as, updates to the earlier version’s third-person control scheme offer more options and promise intuitive interactions.

Learn to Work Together
The new cooperative game play element focuses on the realities of a dual-agent mission, highlighting the ways in which Redfield and Alomar must work together to survive the unexpected, while still allowing them to split up and work alone. To help you maximize the potential of this setup, two-player online and offline co-op modes ensure that you have options when picking a partner.

Steel yourself Against the Harsh Reality of Kijuju
An advanced version of Capcom’s proprietary MT Framework game engine brings groundbreaking graphics and effects to Kijuju, the highly-developed environment where this game’s action takes place. New, lifelike lighting schemes highlight the differences between harsh sunlight and extreme darkness, and when you move from one to the other, you’ll have to wait for your character’s eyes to adjust before you can see clearly, adding to the suspense and challenge of navigating this game’s environs.

Face the Next Generation of Evil
You’ll face new enemies with faster reflexes and improved AI, designed to be as dangerous alone as they are in groups and to keep even Resident Evil masters on their toes. Thankfully, they’re not the only ones who have evolved. This game also offers access to powerful new weapons variations that extend your destructive capabilities.

And the updated, quick-select inventory system allows for real-time inventory management, as well as allowing characters to trade items and allowing you to place an item on the directional pad for instant access. Add all this to a detailed storyline the touches on what the past ten years have meant for Redfield and a Hollywood-caliber soundtrack, and it’s clear that the latest installment in this series really does showcase all the elements at the heart of horror gaming.

Looks great, plays decent, games bad – M. Donk –
I'm not sure what to say. I had such high hopes for this, I mean RE4 was amazing, I do not think I ever had a game with so much replay value (I beat it 16 times!) Played. I thought that if they make RE5, it is fantastic. I was wrong.

Story: – (there might be a small spoiler at the end)
You can tell they tried very emotional and cinematic with it. They make it look like Chris has a dark secret, they throw in a twist or two. You fail at this, Chris is completelywithout any personality, and Sheva is not all that interesting. pretty much all the characters are boring and not rememberable, I can probably name most of the characters in RE2 and 3, which I did not play forever, but I played this a few weeks ago I hardly remember the bosses name. Except of course the most awesome character in every game Resident Evil, Wesker.

Gameplay: – / +
The same as RE4, nothing new. Except one thing that I hate. she brought the oldeverything takes a block in your inventory, what of the older RE games. I loved the gun down, something in RE4. like this is small and I can see why there would be others.

Sound: – / +
Nothing spectacular, average in every sense of the word.

Co-op: +
Co-op is a welcome addition, made it to play the game better overall with a friend, but it would still prefer split-screen play on the old N64 (Goldeneye 007 or Mario Kart?)

Graphics: +
one of the goodThings from RE5. This game is beautiful, no doubt. Character detail is amazing, Ever play UFC 2010, ever notice how many details they provide in the fighters, that's pretty much everybody in this game. As someone who splashes with 3D modeling, I know how much skill to make it a barely passable model assumes. Great looking everything. The only drawback is that Chris Way to buff looks, Leon looked credible, he was sporting not fully blown professional bodybuilders to steroids.I just wish theyinvested a lot of time writing, as it has in the graphic.

Single-player experience: –
Terrible. Period. There was nothing I enjoyed about the single player game. And I play mostly single player games (better investment in the long run). The bosses were not original, neither were the enemy, the only thing about the new enemies is that they now carry weapons, which leads to some fun to shoot-outs are too short to really any joy out of it. anotherI do not like it's not a businessman, it's just a menu where you progressively better weapons in the game. Oh yeah, puzzles are gone, one thing that stand RE done (for me) were the puzzles that the idea was to take the puzzle. And also, zero horror, at least RE4 had the black rubbery things that made this creepy noises.

Total:
Very disappointed if you really want to play it to rent it as I do. I hope RE6 is better than this, if it does not,I think dying is the RE franchise. I forced myself to play all the way through, then after that I forced myself to play again on Co-Op, a pleasant, I recommend playing it that way.

Just awful! – D. Cadman – UK
If you enjoyed Resi 1 and 2 do not buy this game, it sucks. If not, then it would be so, it is polished, if bulky. This is a bit like Street Fighter 42, a classic game that they keep re-issue with extra shiny bits can get your money … Someone new needs to fetch and bring back this new license it!

Pretty cool – Pallieboi –
I bought this game a few days .. and it was ok .. I now played any other RE: Besides the second one for the PSone Sun constrols were kind of unusual for me .. but you will get the hang of them its pretty good game with a good story
