To be honest, I find the game fun and entertainment, but there are some things that can turn off some players.

First, loops. This is more of an old school jrpg, that means you have to deal with this. Unlike some of the grinding nightmares a la Dragon Quest, though it simply scaled win XP to your level. This is how in some places can be frustrating, you get minimal XP for a fight in a dungeon where the boss eats at the end you live for. Of course there are tricks andironically, if you read the manual and learn what to do with the skills you much less problems with the bosses. You must know the strengths and weaknesses of your characters very well to get far in this game.

Second gameplay mechanics. Surprisingly intuitive, although it takes time Get to the hang. When you want to do that, you become the Bang Your Head against something like a brick wall, not to read the manual. The biggest problem is the lack of touchscreen use, and there areTime you wish you had it.

Third Voice Acting. Is conserved relative to time, and the repeated comments in the battle can be tiring. Unfortunately, some of the jokes it be nice if annoyingly random, bonus. Also, there are times when the plot driven voice seems forced, corny or something, as if torn from an Anime a dub films were acting the early 90s (some were excellent, others went but a little to be desired). Some of the translations show clear signs ofIts very different meaning and context in the original version of the dialogue, but oh well.

Conclusion: A good game overall and entertaining as well. While not the biggest RPG, there is still fun to play when you can get past the eccentricities. A total of four stars. It is not mediocre, but as my title said, it's not great, either. Your results may vary of course.

A game with an old school feel – Azure_Warlord – CO USA
For some reason, this game reminds me of Chrono Cross, which was originally on the PSX. Has a similar combat system and a memorable character. It is an old school feel, but you're not saving the world, you try to destroy it. Overall a great game, and if you have an Amazon credit game I buy, definitely a must.

Good, but could have been better… – S. Allan –
I played through and finished the game. It was fun and something new. Going out to destroy the world rather than saving it all the time. I liked it, but I felt that it would have been much better … I would recommend it to RPG fans out there.

Great DS RPG – Fondu – MoonTown
Pros: great story. Catchy music. Good voice work. Unique characters, and also laid back stories. Very challenging puzzles. The game is overall very well organized, no frustrations with menus, or combat system.

Cons: Broken combat system (shock all the points in trouble, spam Y button to win). Random encounters are set too high, and with a very complicated puzzle, runs around a lot gets annoying. Voice work slows down the story, sometimes it may take 10 seconds for the next linebe read (and this happens all the time), very strange pace.

However, you can not too much better with RPG's on the DS. Play it for the story and characters, but not for the combat system.
