One thing that many people use their television for this goes largely unnoticed in the larger context of things is video games. There are actually a number of gaming platforms on the market, designed to have full use of state of the art technology such as television take High Definition Television. One thing that is even more impressive about this system is that they deliberately designed for redundancy. Although there are eight SPEs, only seven of them are at a given time to work. The eighth one in reserve in case one of the otherfails.

So far, we have for nine processors (eight SPEs plus a PowerPC processor) accounted for, but Sony was not happy with it. The new PS3 has a separate Graphic Processing Unit, or GPU, that calls the RSX "Reality Synthesizer", which runs at 550 MHz and has 300 million transistors will be built! The "Reality Synthesizer" has the ability to graphics that almost no photographs of real objects that create an incredible step forward in the gaming promiseReality.

A feature of the new PS3, that is to be expected much support it's ability to 1080p resolution. Unfortunately, this ability has not really on this model. There is still support standard definition and high definition 480i 720p resolution but.

The PS3 also has many new features that make it fully functional home entertainment device. For one thing, it has a Blu-ray Disc drive that needs to be high definition video when connected to a high to playDefinition television. The Blu-ray drive is also backward compatible, so that new PS3 ROM (can play all kinds of CD's and DVD's, R + W, + R, etc.) It is also able to play games on PlayStation and PlayStation 2 .

The new PlayStation 3 model in a 20 gigabyte hard drive and a 60 gigabyte hard drive model. The 20-gigabyte model actually loses some functionality compared to last year, 20-gigabyte model, including Wi-Fi compatibility, HDMIOutput, inputs and a flash memory stick. The 60-gigabyte model has many built in features though including 4 USB ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port and optical audio output among other things. It also supports Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound (which it better when it high-definition-compatible).

to play with all these great features and over 13,000 video games on it, the new PS3 is really a competitive video game system.
