Western Digital 1TB External Hard Drive Review ( Click image to see special price!! )

As a photographer, my pictures keep safe is my top priority, but because I often shoot in RAW format, it means that my photos take up much space. My current PC system is getting old to 5 years, so unfortunately I'm stuck with a computer with a 125GB hard drive. This hard drive would be more than adequate for daily use, but I often shoot around 8GB of photos of each photo and I know that if you take into account, I shoot between 3 -5 week shows a little then myHard disk becomes a problem.

For this reason, I had to get an external hard drive. It took me a while to research and came to a few that I liked. There were some hard drives that were very thin and would be excellent on the move because they were so small, but these disks had a little more memory than my current hard drive, these were last me a long time.

The hard drive was, I decided to go with was the Western Digital Elements 1TB hard drive. The reason for my choice wasthat the space was massive and the hard drive was priced. My first purchase was from eBay, but the seller sent me a Spanish version for some reason, so I sent it back and bought the car from the Amazon, where the same price.

The Review

The Western Digital hard drive is much smaller than I expected, it is about the size of a small book and weighs about the same. One of the best features I found with this drive, the noise, itmakes next to none and I constantly check whether its plugged in the quiet noise level is a big advantage that this hard drive when I have tested some in the past that are extremely loud, the one big nuisance when you have to live with the thing.

The power LED is on the back, which is another great feature of this external drive. If you look you look around the chances are that it is blinking lights, where ever you hinschaut when it comes to TV or computerkeep these lights, even if you are not with the device, it is annoying when you try to do something else and not using your computer. The LED on the back of the external drive means that we do not always have a red flashing light in our face.

The drive connects to your computer via USB 2.0, which will give you a constant high speed. I often have large files on my hard drive and get a transfer speed of 30 Mbit / s and 37MBps for USB is the extremely fast2.0.

The unit is Plug and Play, you just connect the hard drive to your computer and it means ready to go, there is no need for software installation, which I found very useful.

The Western Digital hard drive is an excellent external hard drive and since I write this review the 2 TB model, which allows me to have to save more of my pictures have acquired. If you are looking for a hard drive to use the reliable, inexpensive and easy, while among usT for the storage I recommend the Western Digital hard drive.
