2009 is shaping up to be a big year for the PlayStation 3 from Sony. Sony is already calling this the year that the Playstation is heaps return to the top of gaming. This is the first year that the PS3 beat the Xbox 360 in sales. It was also the first time, although short-lived, that the Nintendo Wii 3 was knocked on the head of the Japanese games charts, again on the Playstation.
With some big titles coming in the fourth quarterof 2009 is looking good for Sony Entertainment.
But the games coming this holiday season for more than one year are to be expected, so it's really no surprise. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Bad Company 2, Rock Band: Beatles, Brutal Legend and Tekken 6, some of the big name titles that do already on most PS3 owners' lists.
But what comes after 2009?
Are there any great games that go on strengthening Sony grip on the market2010?
Here are three of the biggest franchises of landing on the PS3, all expected to be blockbuster titles.
1. God of War III (March 2010). of War has become the flagship of Sony, and it is 3 comes on the Playstation. God, the third part of the series is Kratos – God of War – fighting forces from the underworld and the wrath of other gods in the worlds on the back of the long defeated Titans. 2. Final Fantasy XIV (2010, is released directly after FF XIII). Final Fantasy XI was the first realMMORPG in the series. It is seven years since its publication, and it still has more than 2 million active subscribers – a number that is on with envy by most advanced MMORPGs today looked like. The next entry in the FF franchise is planned for 2010. Final Fantasy XIV Online is planned to be exclusive to the PS3.
