What is better – PS3 or Nintendo Wii? ( Click image to see special price!! )

In this article we will ignore the other major console on the market the Xbox 360 and concentrate on the PS3 and the Nintendo Wii. Like the Xbox, the PS3 and the Wii bear little resemblance to the toylike game consoles of the 1980s and 1990s. They are powerful computers that are optimized for graphics and sound. And like the Xbox, the two new candidates for multimedia and can connect to the Internet.

These two new game machines could not be more different. ThePlayStation 3 is a bulky, shiny black box, which costs between £ 300 and £ 400 retail (wholesale £ 250 – £ 300) for the more expensive 80GB version. The PS3 has a hard drive, a network connection, Wi-Fi wireless networking, and playback of DVDs and CDs. It produces high-definition video. In fact, the PS3 is a next-generation high-definition movie disk, called Blu-ray.

The Wii is a small, thin white box that just £ 190 retail (wholesale cost£ 150) and has much wimpier specs than the Sony. It has WiFi, but there is playing a hard drive, a network port and the ability to DVDs or CDs, let alone Blu-ray discs. It can not produce high-definition video. It has fewer ports and connectors.

However, the Wii seems modest to the more exciting, fun and satisfying of the two machines, but the PS3 has more rich, realistic graphics and complex game in some of the half-dozen PS3 games I have tried.

But the Wiiconquered the hearts for one reason: It used to recognize a wireless controller, the arm and hand movements and on the screen, so you physically control the action. This opens up enormous possibilities. In sports games, you can actually swing a baseball bat or tennis racket or golf club. In adventure games, you can throw a sword through the air, slash or a stroke. They make pretty much the same movements, with your full arm and hand that you would do with the real objects.

TheWii, you do not sit on the couch and just push buttons. are usually available. You get a workout. In fact, the Wii controller, a slim rectangular gadget that looks like a TV remote control, has a wrist strap to prevent it across the room while you're, say, serving in tennis thrown to prevent. The controller has to make a small built-in speaker and transmits vibrations the game more realistic.

To demonstrate these skills every Wii comes with a free hard disk space called Wii Sports thatincludes simple, basic sports games – tennis, baseball, golf, bowling and boxing. These are not fully realized games, they are more demonstrations. The graphics are crude and the games lack multiple levels of difficulty. But they are great fun.

We assume some clever game developer can produce more sophisticated versions of these sports games, and making other kinds of games, the full use of the Wii controller. There are probably specialized controller can beAdvantage of the Wii motion sensitivity.

The PS3 controller, which resembles that of the previous generation of PlayStation 2, also has some motion sensitivity. But it seems much more limited, and the controller does not vibrate.

The two products are clearly aimed at different target groups. While the PS3 has a lot of multimedia features, it's really for hardcore gamers with deep pockets (or with parents with deep pockets) – spend the people who used the tag mastering all levelsand secrets of a complex game.

The Wii's game players, including younger children and older adults who are intimidating the complexity and the fingers and skills to the PlayStation Xbox to be for casual. Even adventure games and racing games on the Wii seem easier to get than similar titles on the PS3.

Hope this is of help
